The Rivers state Police Command has confirmed the boat accident along the Andoni/Bonny waterways.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko said 11 persons lost their lives in the accident.
According to her, the boat was transporting passengers from Ngo Town in Andoni to Bonny local government area of the state.
She commiserated with family of the victims adding that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
