Ambrose Okpor has emerged as the new chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Rivers State, alongside seven other executive members, following the conclusion of the council’s state congress.
The NYCN has also inaugurated new executives in Osun, Kano, Kaduna, and Akwa Ibom States, empowering them to lead the council’s affairs in their respective states for the next four years.
While elective congresses were conducted in all states, a caretaker committee was constituted in Akwa Ibom pending the conduct of an election. The national leadership of the NYCN said the development aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and effective youth leadership following the expiration of the previous executives’ tenure.
