The State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State, His Excellency, Ambassador Desmond Akawor, met with the State Executives of the party to celebrate the victory of the failure of the National Working Committee to dissolve the State body, in a monumental victory registered yesterday at an Abuja High Court.
The landmark case was instituted against the NWC by the State Chairman, Ambassador Desmond Akawor who said the national body falsely accused the State of anti party activities, an accusation that is unfounded and couldn’t be substantiated at the court.
Ambassador Desmond Akawor advised everyone to be united and follow the leader of the party in the State, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
On his part, the Deputy Chairman of the party, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron praised His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for his uncommon leadership and he thanked Ambassador Desmond Akawor for his proactive nature which secured the victory at the court. He assured everyone that His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has no plans of leaving the PDP, and wants to work to rebuild the party. He urged every executive of the ivers PDP to work effectively to keep the party at the top in the State.
