Former Governor of Rivers State and ex-Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, on Tuesday declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is on a mission to bring hope and happiness to the people of Rivers State and Nigeria at large.
Amaechi made the remarks while addressing a crowd of supporters who gathered to welcome him at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
Speaking at the event, the ADC chieftain accused the Rivers State political establishment of electoral malpractice, saying the state has become “notorious for writing results.” He warned that he would not align with any supporter unwilling to confront and resist attempts by politicians and electoral officials to rig future elections.
“We must protect our votes. If you’re not ready to stop rigging, I will not work with you,” Amaechi declared.
The former governor also walked through major roads in Port Harcourt to the cheers of enthusiastic supporters, reaffirming his influence ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
