Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Chijioke Ihunwo has called on the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi to apologise to Nigerians over the Kaduna train attack.

Ihunwo, who made this known during a press briefing in Port Harcourt, today, also called on the minister to visit families of those killed and injured during the attack.

According to him, it is shocking that the minister was yet to apologise to Nigerians, weeks after the incident.

He explained that the APC-led Federal government has failed Nigerians, adding that they came with lies and are about leaving with lies.

He also said, Nigeria needs a leader that has the capacity to transform her, noting that Governor, Nyesom Wike is most qualified for the job.

Ihunwo, called on Rivers youths to be patient with the state government on the 5,000 jobs promised by Gov. Wike.

According to him, the governor has assured that employment would begin in no time.

He, furthermore, urged youths to vie for elective positions, as the body would give them the needed support to emerge victorious.
