Former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi was absent as leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) converged at the National Secretariat of the party for its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
Other notable leaders absent from the NEC meeting were former President Muhammadu Buhari and former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai – who is currently having a running battle with the current administration.
Those present at the meeting were, President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Goodwill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.
Others are Governors of Edo, Benue, Ondo, Ekiti, Kaduna, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Yobe, Niger, Lagos, Kogi, Ogun, Imo, deputy governor of Ebonyi and former governors of Kogi, Kebbi, Niger, Zamfara, and Plateau states
