Former caretaker committee chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Orolosama Peter Amachree, has distributed millions of naira to residents as part of an empowerment initiative in the council.
The fourth phase of the programme took place on Sunday at the Prince Dateme Compound in Buguma City, located in Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
Addressing participants, Amachree said the financial support was in appreciation of the people’s continued loyalty and support for Siminalayi Fubara. He pledged that the empowerment scheme would continue and be extended across all 13 wards of the local government.
Beneficiaries were selected randomly during the event, with many receiving grants of up to one million naira each.
