The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has threatened to withdraw its services if the monthly allocation of the state is withheld.
Chairman of the NLC, Alex Agwangwa made this known in a statement on Thursday, in reaction to a court order restraining the CBN from further releasing allocation to the state government.
According to him, workers in the State will suffer if the ruling is implemented, adding that the NLC will not fold its hands and allow that happen.
He also revealed that for the first time, the National leadership of the NLC will hold its NEC meeting outside of Abuja and has chosen Rivers state as its host.
He stated that the meeting will take place from November 5th to 9th 2004; thereby making the state the first in history to host the NLC.
Alex also said the CNG buses given to Labour by the Federal Government will be launched within the period.
