The Rivers State Ministry of Transport has said that to be qualified to use the road in the state, all drivers must undergo a compulsory ‘Driver Theory Test.’
Commissioner for Transport, Osima Ginah disclosed this in a statement in Port Harcourt, Today
He said the test will determine if someone is qualified to use the road or not, and that road users must henceforth, tender their theory test certificates before they are issued Drivers License.
He stated that the test became necessary as many drivers do not know how and when to use the road.
Meanwhile stakeholders have reacted to the development. While some welcomed it, others described it as a waste of time and money.
