Traders in Akwa Ibom State have contributed ₦100 million in support of Governor Umo Eno’s re-election bid in 2027.
The donation was announced during a meeting of the Ibom Traders Association in Uyo, where members praised the governor for what they described as the fair and transparent distribution of empowerment packages aimed at strengthening small and medium-scale enterprises in the state.
The traders also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Eno, saying their gesture was a mark of appreciation for his administration’s focus on grassroots economic empowerment.
Representatives of the state government who attended the meeting commended the traders for their support and assured them of the governor’s continued commitment to poverty reduction and the creation of a business-friendly environment.
