The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio has said he will be suing sacked Ex-MD of NDDC, Joy Nunieh for defamation of character.
Anietie Ekong, Akpabio’s Special Assistant on Media who made this known in a statement on Thursday, described the allegations levelled against Akpabio as “cornucopia of false, malicious and libellous.”
He said, “The Honourable Minister’s initial attitude was to allow his lawyers and the judicial system vindicate him of the false allegations against him, but he is compelled to react to some of the wayward allegations levelled against his person by Ms Nunieh, especially the one bothering on sexual harassment. “
Joy Nunieh had in a recent live television interview, accused Senator Akpabio of sexual harrassment.
