Award-winning singer and music producer, Akon, has reportedly been arrested in Georgia after failing to appear in court over a case involving his suspended driver’s license.
According to legal documents obtained by Akelicious, a bench warrant was issued for the musician’s arrest following his absence from a scheduled court hearing. The case stems from an incident in September when police officers on patrol discovered a Tesla Cybertruck obstructing a roadway in Georgia.
On approaching the vehicle, officers found Akon behind the wheel. The singer reportedly explained that the Cybertruck’s battery had died, leaving the vehicle stranded in the middle of the road. Further checks revealed that Akon’s driver’s license had been suspended at the time.
Authorities later executed the warrant, leading to his arrest. Details regarding his court appearance or possible penalties have not yet been disclosed.
