The Nigerian Air Force has refuted allegations that it damaged a wellhead owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in the Buguma/Bukuma communities of Rivers State.
In a statement, the Air Force dismissed reports suggesting they caused damage to the wellhead while targeting oil bunkers in the area a few days ago, labelling those claims as false. Residents have accused the Air Force of damaging the wellhead, which has been on fire for over a week.
Additionally, they rejected assertions of ongoing illegal bunkering activities by residents, insisting that no such activities exist in the area.
