A member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Sokari Goodboy, has accused chairman of Ahoada West LGA, Hon. Hope Ikiriko of sending thugs to disrupt a rally in support of Gov. Fubara in the area at the weekend.
Hon. Goodboy alleged that the chairman stormed the venue with over 50 security aides and supervised the destruction of property.
He assured that the council chairman will pay for the act, adding that he will make an official petition against him and his cronies.
He said, “The same chairman damaged all our property without any provocation and still came here to intimidate us.
“Hope Ikiriko will pay for everything that he destroyed. He was here with more than 30 security men. He supervised the destruction of all our property with the supervising councillor for works.
“Our security agencies are here. I am making an official petition against all of them and I will make sure that Hope Ikiriko pays for everything that he has destroyed.”
