The Executive Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Hon. Iyekor Ikporo, has donated a heavy-duty power generating set and food items to the Ahoada Correctional Centre in Rivers State.
Ikporo made the donation when he visited the Correctional Centre on Thursday.
According to him, the gesture is aimed at addressing critical needs within the correctional centre while demonstrating empathy towards the inmates and staff.
Receiving the donations on behalf of the centre, the Deputy Controller of Corrections, DCC Joseph Egwatu, expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman. He lauded Hon. Ikporo for his intervention, emphasizing the positive impact the items would have on the daily operations of the facility.
