Some members of the All Progressives Congress loyal to Senator Magnus Abe in Rivers State, have called on the national leadership of the party to postpone the ward Congress in Rivers State to avoid a repeat of what happened in 2018.
The aggrieved members are accusing the leadership of the party in the state of refusing to issue and sell forms to them ahead of party’s ward congress this Saturday.
Some of them in a chat with journalists at the Secretariat of the part in Port Harcourt, on Thursday, alleged that forms were only given to members loyal to the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
They also accused the Chairperson of the Committee for the sale of forms, Amina Gamaya of not being transparent.
But, Gamaya in a statement yesterday denied the claims. She said: “I started calling the Magnus Abes faction for 5days but his people didn’t come to buy forms…Most of them later came with photocopies of their bank tellers after 5 days.
“We dont accept photocopies, it’s a national directive. We are transparent, we are not for anyone Even when sen Abe called for extension of time , I accepted, i dont know why people will say we are not transparent,” she added.
