The Nigerian Navy, Operation DELTA SANITY: Forward Operating Base BONNY has discovered and deactivated an illegal refining site around Eferiwarie area, Rivers State.
The Navy in a statement said the discovery was made by personnel of the command on Thursday.
It stated that 2 storage tanks, 2 cooking pots, 1 dug out pit and 2 large wooden boats laden with large amounts of stolen crude oil and illegally refined AGO were discovered at the site.
The Navy reinstated its commitment to getting rid of Crude Oil Theft in the area, and warned those involved to desist from the act or face the full weight of the law when caught.
