Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has commended the Super Eagles for their gallant display in their recent encounter, describing the team’s performance as a battle well fought.
In a goodwill message, Obi praised the national team for delivering what he termed “120 minutes of incredible play,” noting that the players showed strength, resilience and prowess against all odds.
According to him, despite the outcome of the match, the players held their heads high and made the nation proud with their commitment and fighting spirit.
“The journey is not over. The Eagle never stops soaring,” Obi said, urging the team to remain focused as they prepare for the next stage of the competition.
He encouraged the Super Eagles to keep pushing for success, expressing confidence that there is still an opportunity to secure a medal.
“You have done well,” he added.
