Legal practitioner and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate former Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (retd.).
Adeyanju alleged that Ibas received ₦283.3 billion within six months in office but failed to account for the funds. According to him, aside from what he described as “cosmetic renovation” of the State House of Assembly complex, no significant projects were executed during the period.
He further accused the former administrator of running the state without transparency, noting that no public accounts were released.
“This is a clear case that demands urgent investigation and accountability, as the people of Rivers State deserve to know how their money was spent,” Adeyanju stated.
