The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, had a prohibited stun gun, as seen in a recent viral video.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the police said Adefarasin voluntarily turned himself in and was subsequently questioned by investigators. During the interrogation, the pastor provided a cautionary statement.
According to the police, the object seen in the video, initially mistaken by many for a firearm, was identified as a stun gun—classified as a prohibited anti-riot device under Nigerian law.
The cleric has since been granted bail as investigations into the incident continue.
