The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports claiming that Ireti Kingibe, the Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, has been suspended from the party.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said it was unaware of any such suspension and described the reports circulating in the media as false and misleading.
The party explained that as a law-abiding political organization, it has established constitutional procedures for addressing allegations involving its members.
According to the statement, issues relating to party discipline are handled through internal mechanisms rather than through public press statements.
The ADC therefore urged the public and the media to disregard claims suggesting that Kingibe had been suspended by the party, insisting that no such decision had been taken.
