The African Democratic Congress in Rivers State is seeking an order of interim injunction restraining the Rivers State Government from implementing and enforcing Executive Orders 21 and 22, which were signed by Governor, Nyesom Wike las year.
The party in a suit filed before a Federal High Court in Abuja stated that the implementation and enforcement of the Executive Orders 21 and 22, have created a state of disorder and political crisis in the State.
ADC also said it has made it impossible for political parties, except the ruling PDP to campaign freely in the state.
The party is also seeking for an injunction restraining the Indeendent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from conducting the March 11 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the State.
