Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has called on Nigerians to acquire combat skills as part of essential survival training.
Musa made the call on Thursday while speaking on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television. He likened combat training to other life-saving skills such as driving and swimming, stressing that self-defence knowledge is necessary regardless of whether the country is at war.
Responding to a question on whether Nigerians should learn combat skills, the Defence Chief said it should be seen as a “survival instinct” that could prove vital in times of danger.
