Immediate past governor of Rivers State and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike has ordered the arrest of the owner of a building at Lagos Street of Garki 2 Abuja which collapsed last night.
Wike gave the directive in a statement Today while commiserating with families of victims of the incident.
According to reports, two persons have been confirmed dead and 37 others hospitalized.
Report say excavation and rescue operation is still ongoing at the collapsed building.
At the moment officials of the FCT Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, Fire Service, and FRSC are putting efforts together to ensure the rescue and evacuation of more persons trapped under the collapsed building.
The cause of the incident is yet to be released.
