Three persons were severely injured following a fire incident at Abonnema Wharf in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.
The fire which razed thatch houses and properties caused panic in the area.
Eyewitnesses say the fire was from an illegal oil refinery in the area, allegedly known for illegal oil refining activities.
It took some residents and personnel of the State and Federal Fire Service to put out the fire.
Commanding Officer of the Federal Fire Service in the State, Audu Alfa in a statement called on residents to be careful and avoid acts capable of igniting fire.
He said they received calls about the fire incident and responded immediately.
