Former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of late, Raymond Dokpesi – over his demise.
Abe made this known in a statement on Tuesday.
His statement reads,
Yesterday, Tuesday 30th May, 2023, accompanied by the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Shehu Gabam, Hon. Maurice Pronen, Alhaji Mohammed Etsu, and Chief Kadilo Kabari, I paid a condolence visit to the Raymond Dokpesi family, on the painful demise of their patriarch, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.
Chief Raymond Dokpesi resonates nationally as a renowned broadcaster and a politician of great feet. He was a voice in the Niger Delta and Nigeria, and I knew him to be always vocal as to what he thinks would benefit our democracy.
Whilst we pray to God for the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss as a nation, we also plead mercy for the soul of our departed friend, brother and nationalist.
Chief Raymond Dokpesi would be greatly missed by his family, friends, business and political associates, even as we continue to laud his numerous legacies.
