A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Sen. Wilson Ake has said that it is only Rivers East Senatorial district that has not produced governor of the state.
Ake, who made this known in a statement in Port Harcourt, Today, also said Magnus Abe is eminently qualified to be governor of the state.
He said it would only be fair if the region is given an opportunity to produce the next governor, as Ogoni is one of the largest tribes in the state.
He stated that Tinubu is qualified to lead the country in 2023 and that those talking about his age are not serious.
“When Tinubu was working for APC no body talked about his age, now they are saying he is old. When you say age, age, age, you are not serious. competence should not be traded for age,” he said.
Ake explained that just like Magnus Abe, Bola Ahmed Tinubu worked hard for the success of the All Progressives Congress.
He also said despite having young Local Government chairmen in the state, they have failed to deliver the dividends of democracy to people at the grassroot.
