Legendary Nigerian singer, and Gongo Aso crooner Abolore Adigun popularly known as 9ice, who once promised to win the coveted Grammy awards in one of his songs has stated that, he promised to win the award for himself and not for fans.
The multiple award winning singer who made this known in an interview on Sunday Scoop, by Punch said, “People are getting it wrong. I didn’t promise anyone a Grammy award; I promised myself. I promised myself a lot of things. I promised myself a Music of Black Origin award and I got it.
9ice who is known for singing in his native yoruba language said, as long as there is life, anything can still happen. “I’m still doing music and who says I cannot get it tomorrow? I still have that belief and I know God will do it for me.”
He noted that he promised himself to be one of the most successful artistes and achieved that. The Grammy award has been one of my targets and I hope to clinch it someday, he asserted.
