Munachimso Ohiagu a 9-year-old participant of the STEM Africa Fest has been declared winner of the competition.
‘Munachimso the Inventor’ was declared winner and champion of the competition after presenting his ‘Muna blocks’ by the panel of judges who listened to all 5 finalists.
His presentation was converting sawdust mixed with cement, sand and water to building construction, furniture and ornamental purpose blocks.
STEM Africa represents a dynamic celebration of curiosity, innovation, and the boundless potential inherent in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). It serves as a vibrant platform dedicated to fostering a brighter future for Africa by igniting a passion for STEAM disciplines among its youth.
According to the organizers, their mission is to kindle the flames of enthusiasm for STEAM within African youth, who are poised to shape the continent’s tomorrow.
