Eighty-five babies under the age of one have reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus in one Texas county in the US.
Annette Rodriguez, Director of public health for Corpus Christi Nueces County made this known in an interview on CNN, yesterday Saturday. “We currently have 85 babies under the age of one year in Nueces County that have all tested positive for COVID-19,” she said.
Rodriguez who pleaded with residents to please help them stop the spread of the diseases said, the young bundles of joy have not even had their first birthday yet.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had warned that data show infants younger than 12 months could be at higher risk for severe illness and complications from COVID-19 compared to older children.
