Eight persons were few days ago crushed to death after a fully loaded double container fell on a 13-seater bus along the Bori-Eleme axis of the East West Road, Rivers State
President of Ogoni Youth Federation, Comr. Legborsi Yemaabana disclosed this in a statement on Monday, and blamed the Federal Government for the mishap.
He said the poor state of the road caused the tragic incident which could have been averted if the Federal Government had listened to their yearnings to fix the road.
He said the Government has failed to fix the road despite promising to mobilize contractors to site in two weeks time.
He revealed that they will perpetually shutdown the road at the appropriate time, and called on all those affected by the road to remain calm as plans are underway to profer lasting solution.
A fully loaded container last week Thursday fell on a 13-seater bus killing some of its passengers.
