Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, has resigned from office following allegations against him.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy) made this known in a statement.
Nnaji, who was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in August 2023, announced his resignation in a letter on Tuesday, expressing gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve. He also claimed he had been a target of blackmail by political opponents.
President Tinubu has accepted the resignation, commending Nnaji for his service and wishing him success in his future endeavours.
