The Omuma Local Government Council has replaced a controversial billboard that previously featured the images of the council chairman and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but omitted that of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
The development follows widespread criticism from stakeholders who condemned the earlier display, describing it as undemocratic and a deliberate affront to the office of the Governor.
Days after the concerns were raised, a new billboard bearing the face of Governor Fubara has now been erected in the council area, signaling a response to public pressure and an effort to restore harmony within the local administration.
