The Rivers State House of Assembly has asked Governor Siminalayi Fubara to submit a list of commissioner nominees for screening and confirmation to constitute his cabinet.
The request was made during plenary on Thursday, the first since the lifting of the state of emergency.
The lawmakers also called on the governor to clarify whether he intends to present a new budget to the Assembly or continue implementing the one passed by the National Assembly during the emergency rule.
The lawmakers also assured the Governor that they are ready to work with him to move the state forward.
Governor Fubara is yet to respond to the Assembly’s demands.
