Ruth Otabor, sister of reality TV star Phyna, has died from complications arising from a road accident involving a Dangote truck.
The accident, which occurred on August 13, 2025, left Ruth, a recent graduate of Auchi Polytechnic, with severe injuries that led to the amputation of one of her legs. Despite undergoing medical treatment, she was pronounced dead at about 6:30 a.m. on August 31, 2025.
Her death has triggered an outpouring of condolences and outrage on social media, as Phyna has been vocal in demanding justice and accountability from the Dangote Group over the incident.
