The Federal Government has lost the moral right to punish any unruly passenger at the nation’s airports, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, has said.
In a statement on Wednesday, Falana linked the government’s recent pardon of Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson to its refusal to prosecute Fuji star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, for alleged criminal offences.
He alleged that the withdrawal of the case against Emmanson was a result of the government’s double standards, warning that such actions weaken enforcement of aviation laws.
