Rivers: We Lost 80 Cows, 180 Goats Worth Millions – Oginigba Traders

Traders at the Oginigba Market say they lost goods worth three hundred and eighty million naira after Police officers stormed the market on Monday, and chased them away 

The livestock traders in a chat with journalists on Tuesday, said they about lost 80 cows, 180 goats and hundreds of chicken during the invasion.

One of the traders said he was tear gassed at close range, and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

They called on the State Government to intervene on the matter before it gets out of hand.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo had in a statement accused the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike of being behind the attack on the market.
