Rivers state recorded 78 new cases of covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 14,261 with 13,052 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Saturday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1305 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -705, Oyo-234, Ondo-88, Kaduna-79, Rivers-78, Ogun-30, Anambra-25, Kano-24, Enugu-12, Ekiti-11, Jigawa-6, Osun-6, Plateau-6 and Zamfara-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 236,014 with 212,357 discharged and 3,014 deaths.
The NCDC, says there is a fourth wave of the dreaded virus and that the country has detected 45 cases of the new omicron variant.
