Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has named Burna Boy as the leading figure among Afrobeats’ so-called “big three,” placing him ahead of Wizkid and Davido on the global stage.
Speaking during an appearance on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, the “African Queen” crooner said he has great admiration for all three artistes but believes Burna Boy is currently at the top internationally.
2Baba explained that his assessment is based on global influence and industry impact rather than financial success, musical style, popularity, or fan base. He added that the ranking reflects his personal industry perspective.
