INEC in Rivers State has assured that results of this saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections will be uploaded from the polling units.
Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in the state, Johnson Alalibo disclosed this in a chat with journalists yesterday.
Alalibo, denied reports that the commission is conniving with a political party to rig the elections, adding it will never compromise the electoral process.
He stated that all BVAS machines that will be used for the elctions have been configured, and that the 22 missing BVAS machines have been replaced.
He called on Residents to come out in their numbers to vote and, help guide and monitor the process.
He also advised political parties and leaders to play by the rules and shun violence before, during and after the elections.
