No fewer than 22 cultists in Ibaa Community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State have denounced cultism and swore to an oath of peace yesterday.
This was following a twenty-one-day ultimatum issued by the Ibaa Security Peace and Advisory Committee (ISPAC) to cultists and criminals either terrorising or hiding in the community.
ISPAC while issuing the ultimatum to cultists few days ago, announced that upon the expiration of the deadline, any criminal caught will be severely dealt with.
According to reports. the repentant cultists and criminals were made to swear the oath of peace to prove that they have truly repented and denounced membership of their cult groups. They were commended and charged not to go back to crime.
