A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to forgo any plans of seeking a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Eze, in a statement released on Monday, criticized the Tinubu administration for what he described as poor governance, economic mismanagement, and increasing corruption over the past two years.
According to him, the president’s tenure has inflicted “colossal damage” on Nigeria’s democracy and economy. He urged Tinubu to begin preparing to exit office, accusing the administration of nepotism, maladministration, and incompetence.
“President Tinubu can now start packing his luggage for his much-anticipated return to Bourdillon after all the damage he has committed,” Eze stated.
The APC chieftain also expressed support for a newly formed opposition platform, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), reportedly involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi, and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Eze commended the group’s effort, suggesting it may offer Nigerians a credible alternative ahead of the next general elections.
