Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, has described ex-Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as a “good guy” whom he holds in high regard.
Baba-Ahmed made the remark during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, while speaking on possible political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, although Amaechi is one of the politicians he could “adopt,” his preference for a political partner remains the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
“The first person is not Rotimi Amaechi. Amaechi is a good guy. The second one is Peter Obi. Always Peter Obi until he decides not to,” Baba-Ahmed stated.
