Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, Sen. Lee Maeba says governor Nyesom Wike is working against presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar following his loss at the presidential primary.
Maeba said this after a meeting with stakeholders of the party in Port Harcourt yesterday in reaction to claims by Wike that some politicians in the state are aggrieved because he denied them the governorship ticket of the party.
According to Maeba, it is true some of them wanted to be governor but, after they were denied the opportunity by the governor they remained in the party and have not been trying to pull down the umbrella, like him who has been fighting everyone since he lost the primary to Atiku.
Maeba, stated that they are still in the PDP and would continue to work for its growth and success.
He noted that the candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar will win next year’s election as he has what it takes to transform the nation.
