Ahead of next year’s governorship election in Rivers State, former governor of the state and immediate past Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi says the contest is not between Tonye Cole and Sim Fubara, candidates of the APC and PDP but, between himself and Gov. Nyesom Wike.

Amaechi, said this during a meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress in Emouha local government area on Friday.

“The challenge today is not tonye versus Sim. The challenge today is Wike versus me,” he said.

According to him, the PDP is going to court to stop the APC from contesting because they are scared and not prepared for next year’s election.

He stated that the APC will contest and win next year’s election, noting that the days of writing results are over.

He urged members of the party not to be perturbed by the happenings in the state as the APC is prepared for the elections.
