A Rivers resident identified as Akandu Chinenye Bright has outlined certain things Governor, Nyesom Wike must do before going ahead with his presidential ambition.
Akandu, in a statement today, said Gov. Wike needs to pay pensioners their over 43 months arrears and gratuities, promote civil servants and generate employment, before contesting the 2023 presidential election.
He also called on the presidential hopeful to pay bursary to Rivers students, pay demonstration teachers amongst others.
His statement reads,
Dear Gov. Nyesom Wike,
Please first pay Rivers State Pensioners their 43 months arrears, pay their gratuities, promote Rivers State Civil Servants that hasn’t been promoted since you assumed office in 2015, employ youths of Rivers State, pay Rivers State Student’s Bursary that you haven’t paid for 7yrs of your reign as Governor, pay University Demonstration Teachers that you refused to pay for over 5yrs and many more, then you can think of ReNEWing Nigeria.
I humbly advice you, Mr. Gov.Thanks, your Excellency
