A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Andrew Uchendu says power must rotate in Rivers State, for peace, equity and fairness to be maintained.
Uchendu, made this known while reacting to a statement by Gov. Nyeson Wike that his successor will not be chosen based on ethnicity.
According to Uchendu, the Ikwerre ethnic nationality must concede the 2023 governorship position to another ethnic group in the state.
He explained that the state is a multi ethnic society, and that power must rotate, as the Ikwerres have had a fair deal.
Uchendu, said he had always aligned himself with those that wants power to rotate in the state, like the Hon. Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
He noted that the state equally needs a credible leader that would build on what his predecessors have done.
