Uche Secondus, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, has reacted to a statement by Governor, Nyesom Wike that he would reveal his preferred presidential candidate in January 2023.
Secondus in a statement yesterday said, nobody no matter how highly placed can impose a candidate on Rivers people, as they have always voted for the PDP.
According to him, Rivers people are intelligent and cannot be coerced into voting another party in next year’s general election.
Secondus who was an ally of Gov. Wike until he was ousted as the party’s national chairman by Wike and others is a strong supporter of Atiku Abubakar.
Wike, is having a running battle with Atiku and some members of the party over the refusal of Ayu to staep aside as national chairman for a southerner.
