Senator, Magnus Abe is believed by many to have taken a swipe at the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi after he said that Nigerians do not want anybody who does not like money to come near the presidency in 2023.

Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State, had in a statement said he does not like money and that he is not corrupt.

However, in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, yesterday, Abe said Nigeria needs a leader who loves and understands money and also knows how to generate money.

“we need a leader at this point who understands money and knows how to generate money because that is the biggest problem in this country today,” he said.

He added that Nigeria needs a leader like the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, describing him as a promoter of excellence.

He explained that BAT is one leader that places capacity and competence above loyalty in all his dealings, adding that he is capable and qualified to rule Nigeria.
