A Group known as Northern Youths Movement (NYM), has blasted former Governor of Niger State, Dr Babangida Aliyu, for saying that Presidential Candidate of the PDP will win Rivers State in the 2023 elections.

Aliyu, had in a statement on Wednesday said the PDP will win Rivers State in next year’s election.

However the group directed Babangida Aliyu to concentrate on winning Niger state where he hails from before winning Rivers State.

The group also said that the PDP lost woefully in 2011 and 2015 while Aliyu was Governor, adding that he lacks the moral justification to make such claims.

“For record purpose, in the 2011 presidential election, PDP lost Niger State with over 300,000 votes while the party lost with over 500,000 votes in 2015,” it said.

‘In 2011 when Babangida Aliyu was Governor of Niger State, PDP had 321,429 votes as against Congress for Progressive Change’s 652,574,” the group added.
